I walk or run down beautiful Green Valley Road several days a week and have for the past ten years. The view of the vineyards, small wineries and green hills has NEVER gotten old. I probably have hundreds of photos from over the years just of my walks down Green Valley Road because I am always trying to capture how beautiful it really is here. No matter the season, no matter the time of day, Green Valley is gorgeous.
I drive down Suisun Valley Road five days a week, multiple times a day as I commute kids to various schools. Suisun Valley is filled with farms, wineries and vineyards. It is also absolutely beautiful no matter the time of year, day or night. Back in October when the Atlas Fire was trying to destroy our bucolic corner of California, I was terrified that Green Valley and Suisun Valley were going to go up in smoke. We, and they, survived. The hills in both areas show bad burns but are already bursting with fresh growth.
Evening walks are my favorite for Green Valley Road. Again, my phone camera scarcely does justice but I try…
It took me many years after we moved from New York City to love Northern California. It took time and friends and this beautiful place to shape me more into a California girl than an East Coast girl (although I still cling to my East Coast roots…). I am so thankful for this gorgeous place that I get to call home.
Talk to me!
