This is what summer has been looking like around here lately…

I can’t believe that summer vacation will be over (for us) in just three weeks. School starts way too soon if you ask me. I never thought I would be that mom who is clinging to summer with all of my kids at home but as those same kids get older I am realizing their time at home is fleeting. My older two are out and about sometimes more than they are at home and those babies I brought home years ago are now eight. EIGHT. We have had summer camp, scout camp, USATF races, girls camp, a trip to Utah, an upcoming trip to Kansas City for Simon to run in Junior Olympics Nationals, upcoming lifeguarding camp for the older two, lots of video game and YouTube marathons, swim team, swim lessons, movie days and late nights, SUPER lax bedtimes and sleeping in way too late. It has been a full and mostly happy summer vacation so far; here is to making the next few weeks memorable before schedules and routines kick in again. I hope that wherever you are, your summer is bright, hot and colorful with cool night breezes and amazing sunsets. Cheers 🙂
